“When deep water curls around you, and fear replaces faith….” (Don’t Be Afraid)
Trust is the opposite of fear. Trust and faith are similar. If we view it from that perspective (“fear replaces faith…”), then the cure to the fear of man is faith. When there is faith, there is no fear. Faith is behaving as if the word of God is true even when everything else points otherwise. Fear is behaving in accordance with what our senses/circumstances/surroundings tell us. Apart from Christ, all we can do is live in fear.
Think this isn’t so important? Add up all the times Scripture talks about “Fear not” and “Have faith.”
The more we abide, the more questions God gives us – both for Himself and for others.
We can have many different “new wines” in our lives where “the old is better.”
